Membership & Registration Requirements

REGISTRATION OF PINTOS

You must become a Member of the Pinto Horse & Pony Association Inc.,

to register a horse or pony. Forms are available from the secretary or below

All horses or ponies must apply for registration by mail to the Committee.

Registration is processed by photo assessment six photos must accompany the application.

Photo one - must be of the right side of the animal, the complete animal must be visible.

Photo two - must be of the left side of the animal, the complete animal must be visible.

Photo three - must be taken directly in front of the animal and must include the complete animal from ears to toes. Whole of hoofs must be visible.

Photo four - must be taken directly from the rear of the animal and must the complete animal from rump to heels. Whole of legs down to and including the hoofs must be visible.

Photo five - must be another right side of the animal, the complete animal in the photo must be visible.

Photo six - must be another left side of the animal, the complete animal in the photo must be visible.

If your horse or pony is registered with any other association a copy of breed association certificate or service certificate is also required with your application.

These Six Photos MUST be Printed by a PHOTO LAB on Photo Quality Paper

STALLIONS.

Stallions must apply for registration by mail to the Committee. A current Veterinary Certificate of soundness and six photos as above must accompany the application. A copy of registration certificate from the horses respective breed association must accompany the registration (If applicable) also with the respective fee. Owners are to be financial members.

MARES & GELDINGS.

Mares and Geldings must apply for registration by mail to the Committee.

Six photos as above must accompany the application. A copy of registration certificate from it's respective breed association must accompany the registration

(If applicable) also with the respective fee. Owners are to be financial members.

HORSES & PONIES UNDER THE AGE OF 2 YEARS

COLT FOAL RECORDING

Colt Foal Recording must apply for registration by mail to the Committee. Six photos as above must accompany the application. A copy of service certificate of proof of mating or copy of registration certificate from its respective breed association must accompany the registration (If Applicable) with a fee of $20.00. Owners are to be a financial member.

UPGRADE OF REGISTRATION

All Colt Foal Registrations must be up graded to adult registration before obtaining the age of

4 years.

Colt Foal Registration certificates for Stallion or Gelding Upgrade must be returned with six new photos as above and with the respective fees paid. Stallions upgrade fee of $110.00 & Geldings upgrade fee of $15.00

Colts being upgraded to Stallion status must send in a current Veterinary Certificate of soundness and six new photos with two photos signed by Veterinary Surgeon and the upgrade fee of $110.00. New Adult certificates will be issued after all fees & paperwork is submitted to the Registrar.

Fill in the Registration application form and follow the steps on the information sheet and register your pinto with the PHPA.

 

Stallion Upgrade Form

( A Stallion Upgrade Form is to Upgrade registered Colts to Stallions Before they begin to breed with so the resulting progeny will be registered with the appropriate parentage (this is also needed when registering a Stallion))

If you need a transfer form please contact The Pinto Horse & Pony Association for one to be sent to you.

(A transfer form is to Transfer a horse in to a new owners name or from another Pinto Association to The PHPA (all original paper work is need for this so please send what you have))
